The Social Networking Giant, Facebook, announced a new collaboration and bring-to-life feature known as in-browser video calling to take networking to a step ahead of Text messages, Real-time updates, and Emotions.  You can now use Facebook video chat feature to call and communicate with your friends, family members, and peers through face-to-face video calling.

Bringing life to monolith text-based communication, Facebook Video Conferencing feature strives to knock out the competing Google+ Hangout service with its smart side bar interface, integrated video and full audio/video live broadcast – powered by popular SKYPE!

The video calling feature requires no additional installations or software applications, just click the call button at the top of your friend’s profile or in the chat window. It is simple-to-use and allows you to call and interact with your friends – right from the Facebook!

In the new release, Facebook scaled its live chat and contact sidebar to the size of the browser window and introduced powerful chat features such as Video Calling, Group Chat, and Integrated conversation to advance communication for its million dollar user base.

In an effort to bring friends closer, Facebook has integrated Skype video calling directly into its live chat interface, letting you connect with 800 Million Facebook users at a single platform without communication and cultural barriers.

A few months ago, we started working with Skype to bring video calling to Facebook,” Facebook announced on its blog. “We built it right into chat, so all your conversations start from the same place. To call your friend, just click the video call button at the top of your chat window.”

Your Mini Skype

The mini Skype client integrated into Facebook Chat enriches user experience with in-person chat and strengthens the partnership between Facebook and Skype. The Free video calling service can be triggered from inside of your browser window by clicking the video call button.

The process of initiating and conferencing using Facebook video calling is just a snap!

  1. 1. Initiate a NEW chat
  2. 2. Click a Friend’s Name
  3. 3. When the chat window appears, click the new CAMERA icon to set-up the new video call

“Think of this simply as a mini-Skype client, one that’s obviously embedded in a very attractive way.” said Tony Bates, CEO at Skype while making the announcement of integrated video calling through Skype on Facebook.
